Vegas Strong Coaches

Our coaches come from all over the country. The one thing they have in common is that they were all lacrosse players before becoming lacrosse coaches. This gives them unique insight into the development of our Vegas Strong teams.

Dacia Persky

HS Director/Coach

School: Wellesley (NCAA DIII)

Position: Attack

Coach Dacia is a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School and a REBEL alumna from the class of 2015. She attended Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts where she was an Economics major and four-year member of the school's NCAA DIII lacrosse team. Dacia was an attacker for the Blue, earning several all-conference honors throughout her career. She holds the highest points record at Wellesley, accruing 223 points in 65 games. Upon graduation in 2019, Dacia worked as an investment analyst and coached a Massachusetts girls lacrosse club team at the youth and high school levels. She relocated to Las Vegas in 2020. Since returning, Dacia has been working as a real estate investment analyst, serving as the head coach for Bishop Gorman High School, and coaching with REBEL and Vegas Strong.

Josh Anderson

HS Coach

School: UNLV (MCLA)

Position: Defense

Coach Josh was born and raised in Las Vegas. He played lacrosse for Durango High School and went on to help start and play for UNLV lacrosse from 2003-2005. After stepping away from the game for several years, he came back in 2014 to coach Liberty High School Varsity team. Since then, Coach Josh has coached both boys and girls from 8U all the way up to Varsity. Coach Josh is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have 3 kids together. He currently owns and operates his own heating and air conditioning company.

Matthew Muniz

Goalie Coach

School: Grand Canyon University (NCAA DI)

Position: Goalkeeper

Coach Matt was born and raised in Las Vegas. Starting as an attacker, he began playing with the first-year programs of Del Webb and Bob Miller. Matt then found his home as a goalie and assisted his teams in making his first state appearances in seventh and eighth grade. In his off seasons, Matt played with local club teams Vegas Starz and Zip-It. His high-school career was spent at another first-year program at Green Valley High School. While at Green Valley, Matt played in several state finals and semifinals games, was awarded MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and had two first team All-State selections. Matt attended and played lacrosse at Grand Canyon University. He returned to Las Vegas and began his coaching career with Del Webb, Liberty, and most recently Pinecrest Academy.

Brittany Keller (BK)

14U Director/Coach

School: Georgia Tech (WCLA)

Position: Defense/Midfield

Coach Brittany (aka BK) grew up in Pittsburgh playing soccer. She first picked up a lacrosse stick in college at Georgia Tech, where she played defense and midfield for their WCLA team while earning her degree in Mechanical Engineering. In the years since graduating, BK has lived in several different states before settling in Las Vegas 5 years ago. She started her coaching career as the JV girls lacrosse coach for Downers Grove North High School in Illinois. In addition to coaching the Vegas Strong middle school team, BK is the head coach for the Faith Lutheran Middle School and Gorman High School JV girls lacrosse teams. She loves teaching brand new players and watching them fall in love with lacrosse.

Em Jurbala

14U Coach

School: Coronado HS

Position: Goalkeeper

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Coach Em Jurbala grew up playing lacrosse in the Vegas valley, goaltending for Coronado High School during the spring season and for various teams throughout the club seasons. After stepping away from the sport while she earned a journalism degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Jurbala returned to lacrosse as a coach for Palo’s middle school team. Reconnecting with her past, Jurbala became a coach for REBEL where she bounced around anywhere from helping with the newest players to working with developmental level high school players. Now, as part of Vegas Strong’s team of talented coaches, Jurbala coaches middle schoolers with Coach BK. Off the field, Jurbala enjoys her job at Las Vegas Magazine, where she covers the exciting happenings of the Valley. When she isn’t working, you can most often find Jurbala at home with her spoiled, stinky bulldog, Stella, or exploring nature and listening to good music.

La’Dae Boykin

HS Coach

School: Wilmington University (NCAA DII)

Position: Draw/Midfield

Coach La’Dae Boykin, originally from Baltimore, MD was a DII soccer and lacrosse player at Wilmington University. She began coaching in 2017 for Victory lacrosse club, then soon after was a graduate assistant at her university. La’Dae has coached club and high school lacrosse since. She has coached for 214 Lacrosse club and 4 different high school programs as an assistant coach, focusing on the draw and the attacking side of the game. She is the coach for Palo Verde High School.

Amy English-Davis
